You too can help save the life of a homeless cat for less than you would spend on a trip to the movies. By sponsoring a cat for as little as $10 a month you help to pay for ongoing costs of feeding, medicating, and caring for the cat, until a permanent home can be found. Those not finding permanent homes will be kept in our sanctuary, to live out their lives with proper care, feeding and veterinary care. Thanks go out to our vets. Especially Dr. Lorraine Sellers, what a great gal.
Diamond is a Tortie and is available for adoption.
Clover is very young, and very sweet. She was found on the streets starving to death. She is a dilute Calico and Selkirk mix.
Jasmine is a Doll Faced Persian, 2 years old, and very, very sweet!
Calico Girl is a Calico Persian, very sweet, follows you around like a dog. She purrs alot and loves to be brushed. She is spayed, micro chipped, and everything else.
Bonnie is 8 months old, a total sweetheart. She is spayed, tested negative for Feline AIDS and Feline Leukemia, is micro chipped, etc. She was rescued from the vet (someone didn't want her.)
Blue is a deaf adult male cat. He has a sweet nature. Blue needs a forever home and lots of love!
Sue was rescued from Modesto Animal Shelter before being put to sleep. Someone had run over her tail and it became necrotic and had to be amputated. She looks like a Tuxedo Bobtail now. Sue is spayed, tested negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia, is micro-chipped, etc.
Sebastian is a one year old male Tonkinese. He is available for adoption.
Hans is 11 years old. He was an SPCA kitten. He's been spayed. He's a Siamese mix with seal point markings. He looks like a Siamese but has a short face. He's good with children, we have a 5 and 6 year old, but is a bit feisty when they interrupt his naps with too much attention. But he's the most cuddly with me, the lady of the house. We also have a very large black lab mix and he tolerates her presence. He loves to lie and round in the sun and have face rubs and neck scratches. He likes to lie above me on the back of chairs and nap with his paw on my shoulder. He'll sleep in the bathtub after baths in the remaining water. He loves to be around water. He often will lie in our sinks in the Master Bath when I'm getting dressed. He likes to drink water from a dripping faucet. He's been an indoor outdoor cat for most of his adult life. I think he enjoys a bit of the Tom cat night life.
He's been completely checked out with full blood work and has been updated in shots with in the last few months. At that exam they determined that he was allergic to generic foods. He's been on Royal Canine Duck with Peas. He eats dry food most of the time, but loves to have the treat of the wet food whenever he can.
We are unfortunately looking for a good home for Hans, because our youngest daughter has been tested with extreme allergies to cats. Hans has been a wonderful, loyal, and constant companion to myself and our family. He'll be missed very much, but we know that he'll become a nice companion to another family.
Hermes has a name that says it all! He is such a sweetheart, and likes nothing better than to get on your chest and place his paws on either side of your neck for a hug, and then rub his head against your chin! He is truly a cuddle bug. He recently lost his longtime companion cat, and since then has been so bored, that he is getting into mischief in his current home. He lives in a small apartment, but would love to be an indoor/outdoor cat, and would also be happy with a new friend. His owner can not get another companion for him, so feels he would be much happier in a home where he has more stimulation and things of interest to do, or other animals to play with. He adores humans, and wants to be around them, so he would be a great companion for someone who has time to spend with him. His owner loves him, and wants only the best for him, so he will stay with her until the right home is found.
This black kitty, with white whiskers, and the softest, thickest, most plush coat imaginable, also has gorgeous green eyes. He's just a beauty, inside and out!
He's perfectly litterbox trained, neutered, and is about 7 years old. If you are interested in learning more about Hermes, please call me or email me at 530-677-2918, or pobryon@sbcglobal.net
"Bubbles" - 4 years old; Bubbles is a very sweet & loving girl. She likes to reach for you and loves attention. She must go to a home that has other animals in it. She is used to being around multiple pets and gets very lonely if she does not have friends to hang out with.
Gray & White Short hair, Female, 11 years old. "What's up Doc?" My name is Bugs, and I got my name not just for my markings, but because I'm a 'love bug' too. I am shy at first, but am a quiet and sweet girl who's looking for a forever home. I get along with other cats and kids and have lived indoors all of my life.
Cinnabon is a pretty Tortoiseshell and is very friendly.
Blanche and her sister Priscilla were taken in from a local breeder when she decided that they were not going to be show quality. These two gorgeous girls are purebred Munchkins with their short little legs and adorable faces. What Priscilla lacks in stature she makes up in her personality. She's sweet, friendly and loves belly rubs and to play. This darling girl is hoping that her New Year starts with a perfect forever home! Priscilla is almost two years old.
Blanche is very unusual looking; she's a Siamese/Calico with the most gorgeous blue eyes around! She's a little shy and needs some time to adjust to her new home so she needs a patient human to make her feel safe and loved, then she blossoms into a sweet and loving friend! Blanche is almost two years old.

Munchkin Breed: Although Munchkins have only recently been accepted as a breed (in TICA, but not in CFA), they have been around for decades. Munchkins can most appropriately be described as "regular cats" with short legs. Like the Sphynx cats, they foster a "love or hate" reaction at first glance, but are gaining appeal with time.
Munchkin History: In the 1940s, in the U.K., a veterinarian described several generations of short-legged cats. Although this line disappeared during WW2, in 1953 a short-legged cat was seen in Stalingrad. However it wasn't until 1983, when a short-legged cat, later named Blackberry, was discovered by by Sandra Hochenedel in Louisiana, that today's Munchkin breed was born. Blackberry's first and subsequent litters consisted of about half short-legged and half long-legged kittens. A son from one of Blackberry's litters, Toulouse, was given to Kay LaFrance, a friend of Hochenedel. It is from Blackberry and Toulouse that today's Munchkin breed is descended.
A Natural Genetic Mutation: Munchkins owe their short legs to a naturally-occurring genetic mutation, and not from human manipulation. The gene responsible for the breed's short legs has been likened to the same one that gives Dachsunds and Welsh Corgis their diminutive stature. However, since the spine of a cat is physically different from that of a dog, Munchkins do not suffer spinal problems sometimes associated with those canine breeds.
Living with a Munchkin: Munchkins are sometimes described as "ferret-like" in their playfulness, as they run, chase, and play with toys. They also have an endearing way of sitting up, rabbit-like, on their hind legs, a trait which gave the Stalingrad cat the name of "Stalingrad Kangaroo Cat." Because Munchkins may be bred to a wide number of breeds, an individual cat's personality will depend on its inheritance. All-in-all, however, they have been described as loving, sociable, and playful by Munchkin fans.
About 2 years old, Bella is a sweet cat. She is spayed, has all her shots, and is negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. She is good with other cats and has been around dogs. Bella is microchipped.
