The Agee Memorial Wildlife Fund, Inc. operates the "FatKittyCity" sanctuary, nestled among a twenty acre tree-studded park-like setting outside Sacramento, California. Opened in 1998, we are a non-profit, tax deductible sanctuary dedicated to ending needless suffering, by rescuing, rehabilitating, medically treating and adopting homeless and severely abused animals.
We are a new concept in animal sanctuaries, providing much more than just a "warehouse" for rescued animals, crammed into small cubicles in a warehouse building. More than just rescuing and receiving veterinary care, vaccines, spaying, neutering, micro-chipping and other medical aid, our furry friends also receive the proper room to run and play, climb and jump, chase and explore. They roam in a spacious enclosure which allows them to go indoors and outdoors, as they wish, and to be placed in an environment similar to what their new "forever home" will be like, when they are adopted.
Help us to help them by telling all your friends, neighbors and relatives about FatKittyCity.org, volunteering or donating in any way you can. Since we are a grass-roots volunteer-oriented group, your tax-deductible donations go directly to the animals.

Our thanks to Whole Foods Folsom. Their Facebook promotion generated a donation of $544 to Fat Kitty City. That will keep us in kitty litter for a month!

Tinsel is just another example
of the pets that are helped at Fat Kitty City
This poor little cat was no doubt the loving pet of his owner. However, when his owner became ill and had to go to the hospital, no one took over the care of the cat. He was wandering around a mobile home park and people were shooing it away because they said it was "ugly".
Tinsel, as we have named him, is extremely "thin" like Tinsel and physically fragile. He is most likely between 14-17 years old.
Several tests have been done through the 'ELF FUND' as he is very, very emaciated and ill.
Your generous, tax-deductible donations ensure that we can continue providing rescue, care, spaying / neutering and assistance in finding forever homes for more cats like Tinsel and the other helpless pets helped this past year.
Donate Now to the Elf Fund for emergency medical expenses to help pets like Tinsel
As you can tell from the stories we have posted over the past few months (Destiny, Lucky, Somluck, Van Go, Boots and now, Tinsel), there continues to be an increasing need for the services and care that Fat Kitty City can provide for abused and homeless animals. These helpless animals require loving attention and sometimes costly medical care to save them.
