"Here is a recent picture of Mighty Jaws. He likes to hang out under the fig tree, which provides shade and a view of the bird feeder. Occasionally a bird pays too much attention to the nyjer seed and too little attention to Mighty Jaws. He can leap straight up about four and a half feet!
He still is in fairly good shape, although you can tell that the growth is partially blocking one nostril. Last summer he would have been outside more and be more active. We are really going to miss him when the time comes."
