Special Needs Pets Available for Adoption

These pets may have special health or physical issues. They are all available for adoption and need to find just the right home!

PirateePiratee was found wandering in a neighborhood, with his eye bloody (as if he was kicked or something). He is a very, very sweet and loving boy, but very shy at first. He will really warm up to you once you take him home and he gets settled. He just needs to be an inside cat because he only has one eye.

Piratee is a neutered male cat, 2 years old and black with white paws and bib.

Ricky RicardoRicky Ricardo has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (which is a condition whereas they don't have use of their motor skills). He can use a cat box, can eat and get around, so it would be really nice if he had someone who would love to have a cat around all day that they could spend time with.

Ricky Ricardo is a neutered 4 year old male cat. He has beautiful medium length grey and white fur.

Van GoVan Go was abandoned when her owners drove away. She was left outside too long in the sun without protection and developed Squamous Cell Cancer of the ears) so we took off all the cancer. She is fine now, no problems, but should be an inside cat only.

Van Go is a 3 year old female white Patched Tabby.

Pewter

Pewter is a gorgeous silver medium haired male cat. He is 2 years old and FIV+. He should be the only kitty in his home.

ArchieArchie (Genuine Courage): Archie is a very special boy with a special and unique need. He came to our doorstep filthy, covered in fleas, scared and hungry. He had been badly injured; presumed to have been mauled by a dog. His tail was partially detached; with open wounds, while covered in urine and feces. He was given his name because he had no fear as he endured his pain while seeking someone to help him. His tail was amputated and while it has healed nicely, he continues to have no control of his bowels or bladder. Wearing a size 4 baby diaper, held on by some very classy suspenders, he now has the freedom to roam about the house. The vet has indicated it could be months before we know whether he will regain these functions, and the vet continues to insist that while there are no guarantees, there is still hope for a full recovery. Despite all this, Archie is a lover boy, who wants nothing more than to have the positive attention of his owner. He will lie next to you, onArchie you, or anywhere around you. He is estimated to be 3 years old, but maintains the spirit of a kitten. As he gets used to his diaper, he is beginning to play more with the cat toys, interacting with the other cats in our home. Lounging in the cat hammock, watching the world outside, is among his favorite activities. He is a quiet soul, who continues to deal with his traumatic past as is evidenced by his startling easy when approached or touched from behind. Archie is a sweet, loving soul and we hope he will find someone in a forever home, whose heart he can touch just as he has ours. He deserves a good life, a good home, and some peace and tranquility. Not recommended for homes with small children or dogs.

Archie is about 2 years old, a black and grey tabby.
