This Daisy Troop came to visit Fat Kitty City. They donated money and canned food. FKC is very blessed to have such young and generous supporters! Thank you ladies for supporting the cats. These girl scouts came to visit our cats and brought them some food, toys and love! The cats will particularly like chasing those feathers attached to strings on a ‘fishing-like pole’. Eat-play-love, eat-play-love…our cats have a great life at Fat Kitty City. Thank you ladies for contributing to our food pantry, toy chest, and caring about these deserving kitties. These Daisies and Girl Scouts came to visit our kitties and showered them with all kinds of treats: canned & dry food, blankets, every day cleaning supplies to help us keep the kitties homes clean, and most importantly lots of love! Our cats loved the extra attention. Fat Kitty City recognizes how important our community’s youth is in helping to support these cats. Thank you so much ladies! Our cats are going to love these new and cute blankets that these Daisies and Girl Scouts just made for them. As soon as we put these fleece blankets out (their favorite type) the kitties will be ‘all over them’. Thank you for making our cats fresh blankets! Fat Kitty City is thankful to have these Brownies thinking of us. They brought yummy food, bedding, and lots of love to our cats. Thanks Brownies. Our supporters are the best! This young lady asked that gifts for our kitties be made in honor of her birthday celebration. Look at all of the wonderful donations she brought. YAY! Thanks for making our cats’ lives brighter. These two boys refurbished a kitty house and collected food donations for Fat Kitty City. Our kitties are so lucky to have youth volunteers who are so giving and truly care about their welfare. Thank you for caring about FKC. Kitty is so happy to have attention. Others wait patiently for their ‘petting turn’. These local second graders have been learning about volunteering and how to support their community. Fat Kitty City is so lucky they chose to include us in their lessons. They had a blanket drive and brought our kitties lots of blankets just in time for winter. Our cats loved the extra petting and care you showed while visiting. Thank you second graders! Students are so gentle and caring to the kitties. They so enjoy having humans play with them. Our cats show they trust the students. This kitty looks at her young visitor from her cozy house. These girl scouts made money from selling girl scout cookies. They decided to donate the proceeds to Fat Kitty City. We are so grateful to add this money to our food bank account. With the fall and winter months ahead, we definitely want to be able to feed them canned and dry food twice daily. Canned food is so expensive! This check will allow us to buy several cases of canned pate (their favorite). This troop is helping to make a difference. Thanks sooooooooooo much. Girl Scout Group Scouts constructed ramps for our 3-legged kitties so they can climb up to get access to chairs and couches. These ramps will provide an opportunity for our cats who have difficulty walking to get off the ground and enjoy being on furniture. What an awesome gift from the Eagle Scouts! Thank you so much. Scouts constructing the ramps. Fat Kitty City is so thankful for our youth volunteers. This kitty is enjoying some playtime! Janna added a sunscreen to the Eagle Scout’s jungle gym. Now kitties have shade to enjoy when lounging on the gym. Our cats appreciate feeders and look forward to every visit from them! Janna sewed hammocks for the kitties and installed them on our other jungle gym. Our kitties have a great life because of our great volunteers who care. One of our dedicated volunteers, Gillian, has been coming several times a week to help care for Dark Knight. He was rescued from a hoarder. Gillian helps to clean him as he has difficulty caring for himself due to his illnesses. TLC is one part of his treatment program. We are so blessed to have Gillian as a part of our FKC’s volunteer team! We are hoping Dark Knight recovers soon! Kitty Ellie gets lots of attention, and she loves it! This is amazing…Darren McColl, a compassionate volunteer at Fat Kitty City, is always spoiling our kitties. He brings them packets of turkey and chicken and makes sure they all get some. When one of his favorite kitties, Jamaica, crossed over the rainbow bridge Darren made her a special grave marker. He found a piece granite to match her fur and made a cross out of it. Darren you are so amazing to our kitties. Jamaica was such a loved kitty. FKC is so lucky to have such caring volunteers such as Darren. Students helping on ‘Cleanup Day’. They are serious about getting things tidy for our kitties. Fat Kitty City is so lucky to have these two girl scouts make a 3 level kitty condo for our cats. The girls built this condo as their project for their Silver Award. This adorable condo even has handmade pillows and hand crocheted toys. The scouts even made homemade tuna treats, lucky kitties! Our cats are so pampered. Thank you for helping to support our felines. Check out the condo in our large acclimation cage…bet you see a kitty or two snuggled in it.
